The Panoramic View


What are so special at level 3 which is Panoramic View? The special of this Panoramic View is it will rotate for 20 minutes and the painting looks like moving when you walk around the Panoramic View. This painting takes time for 6 months to be done by 60 artist from Korea. The image has been captured then the artist will draw the painting. It is the view from the hilltop of Gunung Keriang. The painting looks real even when you capture this painting by camera. Come and have a visit here and take a chance to see this Panoramic View.

Levels That Muzium Padi Have

Level 1

At this level the visitors can have an insight into the history of paddy planting in Kedah, to observe the various varieties of paddy and, to witness the traditional equipment used in paddy planting such as ‘anok’, ‘renggam’, ’kepok, ’tenggiling’ and others. For the fish lovers you can observe the equipment nearly extinct used in catching fish such as, ‘sepila’, tuar, ’bubu, and ‘tangkul’. Those equipment are used to catch the fishes in the paddy fields such as ‘sepat’, ‘keli’ and other fresh water fishes. 






Level 2

This level has six galleries. These galleries exhibit drawings that depict the agricultural activities starting from the olden days to now. There is a drawing here which use the technique crystals spray that will captivate you and your creativity. For those who wish to deepen their knowledge on methods of paddy planting you can always view a documentary which is being screened everyday. From this level 2 the visitors can view the daily activities of the seeding, replacement, fertilizing and harvesting.


Level 3

By climbing 59 steps, visitors can reach the peak of Gunung Keriang. From here visitors can match the panoramic view lf the traditional village and lush paddy fields. Visitors will he definitely enthralled by the panoramic view of the process of paddy planting from land preparation up to harvesting in the form of mural landscape .The mural is 8 meters high and the length is 103 meters and it is the biggest and the most beautiful mural in Malaysia. The observatory at this level can accommodate 40 people at a time and it situated on a revolving platform.

Souvenir shop

Various types of ‘T’-shirt, stationeries, handicrafts that are related to paddy are available as souvenir. Or you can just choose the varieties of snacks the traditional Kedah biscuits and tidbits as ‘karas’, ‘sagon’, ‘emping’, kuih loyang’ etc. Those definitely are produce by the people of Kedah themselves.
